WAX CARVING COURSE | 1 or 2-day signature experience

Create your own ring – from the first idea to a finished piece of jewellery.

In this intensive two-day workshop, you will experience the full process of jewellery making in a calm and personal studio setting. Working with jeweller’s wax, you will design and carve your ring freely according to your own inspiration.

Goldsmith and jewellery designer Alexandra da Fonseca-Klein, with over 28 years of experience, will guide you step by step through the entire process with care, patience, and technical expertise.

On the first day, you will create your individual wax model, which is then burned out overnight.

On the second day, the metal is melted and cast into the mould – a very special moment where your piece truly comes to life.

Unique to ADFK Jewellery:

All casting is done in-house.

If you wish, and after a full safety briefing, you may even pour the molten metal yourself.

You will then learn how to refine, file, and polish your piece to completion.

Process:

Duration: approx. 2 × 7.5 hours, flexible scheduling (consecutive days or separate dates)

Burnout process overnight

During your time in the studio, we are happy to document your process with photos as a lasting memory of this experience.

What’s Included?

Personal guidance throughout, use of all tools, machines, and kilns

Materials: Carving wax, investment casting powder , Crucibles and polishing materials and light refreshments during the day.

Stay & Atmosphere:

For participants travelling from further away, the workshop can be enjoyed as a more relaxed and immersive experience.

Refreshments and light meals are provided throughout your time in the studio.

Overnight accommodation in our guest room can be arranged upon request.

This allows you to fully immerse yourself in the creative process without time pressure.

Precious or semi-precious stones, engraving, surface finishes such as gold plating

1 Day:

Private one-on-one (1 Person): €800 plus plus Silver/Gold

Couple (2 persons): €1100 plus plus Silver/Gold

2 Days:

Private one-on-one (1 Person): €1050 plus plus Silver/Gold

Couple (2 Persons): €1300 per couple plus plus Silver/Gold
